GRT customers can travel to and from the Kitchener GO Train station for free on Grand River Transit. You can now enrol in the Connect-to-GO program using your EasyGO fare card.
Enrol in the program by:
Filling out the GRT feedback form Visiting a customer service centre Calling 519-585-7555You will need to provide your 17-digit physical Presto card or your 24-digit digital Presto card number to enrol.
How it works
Travelling to the Kitchener Train Station on GRT: tap your EasyGO fare card when you board a GRT bus or ION train. Tap again at the validator located at the Kitchener Train Station. Travelling from the Kitchener Train Station on GRT: Tap your EasyGO fare card at the validator located at the Kitchener Train Station. Tap again when you board a GRT bus or ION train.When you've tapped your card twice, you'll get a rebate for your GRT fare.
Effective March 31, 2023 you will no longer be able to show your Presto card or GO Train ticket ; you will have to tap your EasyGO fare card to get the rebate.
The Connect-to-GO program is only available for the GO Train. Connect-to-GO is not available for GO buses.
MobilityPLUS customers
Registered MobilityPLUS customers are able to travel to and from the Kitchener GO Train station for free.
Enrol in Connect-to-GO by:
Filling out the GRT feedback form Calling 519-585-7555You will need to provide your 17-digit Presto card number to enrol.
Once enrolled, you do not need to pay a fare when riding to or from the Kitchener Train Station.
